For processed food (including alcoholic drinks), there are no specific standards/rules applicable to the overseas manufacturing site.

There are no specific standards/rules applicable to the overseas manufacturing site for alcoholic drinks. Nonetheless, importers of non-high-risk processed food products (including alcoholic drinks) are advised to maintain similar documentary proof that the imported products are produced under sanitary conditions in a regulated establishment and produce them when requested by SFA. Such documentary proof can be a Certificate of HACCP, GMP, Health Certificate issued by a competent food or veterinary authority of the exporting country or region, attestation of export issued by a competent food or veterinary authority of the exporting country or region, or factory license issued by the regulatory authority of the exporting country or region [1].
