4.1 Mandatory Labeling Parameters

Not applicable. If there is any interest in labeling (e.g. “contains dairy” on menu board or on label tags, etc.), it will be up to the food services or stores.

Raw materials

There will be specific labeling requirements for specific raw materials. Please refer to Section 4.1 of the "General Foods" guidebook for Brazil.

Product

Food preparations

Since there is no labeling regulation for prepared food, those coffee beverages can be sold in packaging containing only the brand name of the product/franchise, as these products are consumables and delivered on demand.

Not applicable to food preparations, including coffee preparations. It is understood that for food preparations, including the coffee ones, the product name is up to the establishment/brand. For example, fantasy names like Macchiato in other languages, in the practice are accepted. They are always accompanied by their descriptions.
