7. Importation Requirements

This section provides information on the importation process (shipment, customs, licenses required, and test requirements).
7.1 Shipment Declaration
General Feed
According to Annex 1 of SENASA RESOLUTION 594/2015 (Item 15.4) [1] for the import of animal feed, the Notice of Arrival procedure must be done [2]. The steps are the following:
- The applicant company must send an e-mail to the Coordination of Animal Feed Registration (CRAA) to request the payment coupons for the Animal Feed - Notice of Arrival procedure, for a registered product. The following e-mail address for this purpose is: craagde@senasa.gob.ar. In the mail, the following information must be included:
- Natural Person / Legal Entity
- CUIT/CUIL
- Code of the procedure (IC012 for Animal Feed - Notice of Arrival)
- Deadline of the requested procedure (24 HS, 48 HS, 72 HS)
- Quantity of products
- The CRAA will issue the Payment Orders and Deadline and send them in response to the mail.
- Once they have been paid, the applicant firm will enter the TAD platform [3] (only national companies registered in the tax system can access the TAD platform).
- Once logged in to the platform, the owning firm should search for the following procedure "Animal Feed - Notice of Arrival".
- Then, the applicant must fill in all the information required by the procedure and finalize the application. The following documents must be attached:
- Customs single document (DNU)
- Results of analysis of the products
- Final invoice of the shipment
- Free Sales Certificate
- Receipt of payment
- Application for the registration of imported products for animal feed that contain ingredients of animal origin in their composition, approved by the Directorate of Quarantine Standards (DNC) (only for products to be imported that have ingredients of animal origin)
- Packing list
- The Animal Feed Registration Coordination (CRAA) will analyze the application and once approved, the TAD platform will send the company an e-mail informing you that the certificate has been granted.
- The applicant firm will be able to print it to present it to Customs.

Product
The product “Nutritional Additive (Amino acid)” should comply with the shipment declaration requirements outlined in the “General Feed” section 7.1 above.
7.2 Customs Procedure
General Feed
The Notice of Arrival shall be submitted for the customs procedures that, according to the regulation, may involve inspection of the lot to be imported [4].
Note: The shipment releasing shall be done by a customs agent that is the only authorized person to carry out such process.
Category

Product
The product “Nutritional Additive (Amino acid)” should comply with the customs procedures outlined in the “General Feed” section 7.2 above.
7.3 Manufacturing License
A manufacturing license is not required for importation.
7.4 Test for Importation
General Feed
Not detailed. However, it is understood that those analysis protocols for product identity, quality (guarantee levels), and safety (contaminants) must be submitted [1].
