7. Importation Requirements

This section provides information on the importation process (shipment, customs, licenses required, and test requirements).
7.1 Shipment Declaration
General Feed
According to the manual of use of the digital procedure to process the livestock import permit - animal feed - interested parties must complete the following stages [1,2]:
- The applicant company must make the formal request for the Import Permit by using the unique key of the company representative, in the following link https://accounts.claveunica.gob.cl/. The applicant's data must be entered:
- Application number
- Identity card or Tax Identification Number (RUT, acronym in Spanish)
- Name and surname
- E-mail address
- Identify the type of import permit. In this case, indicate "animal feed". (2nd form)
- Describe the data and background of the company or applicant responsible for bringing the products into the country (3rd form).
- Personal data (name and surname)
- Company address
- Contact information: e-mail and telephone
- Describe the specifications of the import permit application.
- Identification of the person responsible for the shipment of the products
- Address of the person responsible for the shipment of the products
- Contact details: e-mail and telephone
- Purpose of the import (commercial, research, etc.)
- Description of the product (name, presentation, quantity, weight, estimated date of entry)
- Region of the country of entry of the products
- Border port of entry
- The product data sheet, the Resolution issued by SAG for the Dossier Authorization, and the certification issued by the health authority of the country of origin must be attached.
- Payment of the corresponding fee.
- Once the payment has been made and confirmed, the system will allow the applicant to assign the process for processing.
- Once the evaluation has been carried out, an approval, rejection, or observation report will be issued. If the procedure is approved, the system will issue an electronic document of approval of the import permit that must be submitted to the customs authorities.

The category of “Additive” should comply with the shipment declaration requirements outlined in the “General Feed” Section 7.1 above.
Product
The product “Formulated Additive” should comply with the shipment declaration requirements outlined in the “General Feed” Section 7.1 above.
7.2 Customs Procedure
General Feed
Upon entry into the country, the authorized product must be labeled or accompanied by documents that allow SAG inspectors to verify that it corresponds to the authorized product, quantity, and origin. [3]
Note: If the product arrives at the border control and does not have its respective import permit, it will be retained by SAG inspectors and may not enter the country.
The release of the shipment must be carried out by a customs agent who is the only one authorized to carry out this process.
Category

Product
The product “Formulated Additive” should comply with the customs procedures outlined in the “General Feed” Section 7.2 above.
7.3 Manufacturing License
A manufacturing license is not required for the import procedure but for the dossier authorization. [1]
7.4 Test for Importation
General Feed
Tests for importation are not described in the regulation. However, from the best of our knowledge, those tests corresponding to the type of product (the ones performed for the Dossier Authorization) shall be attached to support the import procedure. [1]

7.5 Other Notes or Requirements for Importation
