4.1 Microbiological Standards

There are no microbiological and mycological standards specific to “Special Purpose Foods”.

Refer to Section 4.1 in “4.0 Safety Parameters" of the "General Foods" guidebook for an overview of the relevant regulations. 

If the Special Purpose Food product falls in any of the food products for which microbiological specifications have been established, the product must comply with the applicable limits specified for that product.

4.2 Contaminants and Heavy Metals
