This section provides information on labeling requirements and the label approval process.
4.1 Mandatory Labeling Parameters
“Foods supplements” should comply with Section 4.1 of the “General Foods” guidebook for the Philippines. Additionally, the following applies:
All Food/Dietary Supplement owners, manufacturers, distributors, importers, exporters, advertisers, and/or their agents are mandated to strictly carry, in Filipino, the standard message or phrase [1]:
"MAHALAGANG PAALALA: ANG (NAME OF PRODUCT) AY HINDI GAMOT AT HINDI DAPAT GAMITING PANGGAMOT SA ANUMANG URI NG SAKIT" in every advertisement, promotion and/or sponsorship activities or any materials used concerning Food/Dietary Supplement.
Translation of the statement: "IMPORTANT NOTE: (NAME OF PRODUCT) IS NOT MEDICINE AND SHOULD NOT BE USED TO TREAT ANY DISEASE"
For print and other visual advertisements, promotions, or materials, this phrase shall be at least 1/3 of the size of the largest letter/logo and prominently (all in capital and bold letters with Arial or Tahoma font) printed above of every advertisement, promotion, or any materials used.
This requirement covers product labels as well.
4.2 Languages
There are no language requirements specific to “Foods supplements”. It should comply with Section 4.2 of the “General Foods” guidebook for the Philippines.

There are no requirements for mandatory information on stickers that are specific to “Foods supplements”. It should comply with Section 4.3 of the “General Foods” guidebook for the Philippines.
