Appended Table 20 of the Food Labeling Standards (Cabinet Office Ordinance No. 10 of 2015) [1] specifies the following additional requirements for “Prepared Frozen Foods”:
- “Instruction for use” and “net quantities” must be displayed on an easy-to-find surface of the product package at a size of 8 points or larger (6 points or larger when the package surface is 150 cm2 or smaller).
- The fact that the product is fried in edible oil, frozen, and prepacked must be displayed near the product’s trade/brand name at a size of 16 or larger.
