This section provides information on labeling requirements and the label approval process.

"Culinary product from poultry meat (offal)" - a food product from poultry meat (offal), which is a culinary semi-finished product from poultry meat (offal) or a culinary product from poultry meat (offal). Culinary products from poultry meat (offal) can be made or a whole piece of poultry (including in the form of whole carcasses) or chopped, and in a shell, with breading, sprinkling, marinade, sauce or without them, stuffed or molded [1].

The labeling of culinary poultry meat products must comply with the below requirements and with the requirements applicable to the “General Foods” category.
- The label must contain information about the type of poultry (e.g. "from chicken meat"), manufacturing technology (e.g. "boiled", "fried", "baked"), grade or category (e.g. "extra", "highest") (if any), as well as the thermal state (e.g. "chilled", "frozen").
- The product must not be named in a way that implies that it is intended for children (e.g. “Totosha”).
- The product name must not be similar to product names regulated by national standards (except when they are made in accordance with these standards).
- It is allowed to use generally accepted names formed according to the anatomical feature (e.g. "breast", "wings", "leg"), a characteristic pattern on the cut (e.g. "cervelat", "salami", "ham"), the type of prescription components used (e.g."chicken", "from turkey", "from poultry meat") or widely used assortment names (e.g. "pastroma", "kupaty", "steak", "fillet").
- Indicators of the nutritional value of poultry slaughter products and poultry meat products in the labeling are indicated taking into account the allowable deviations.
- The permissible limits of the actual values of the content of nutrients when indicating information on the nutritional value of poultry slaughter products and poultry meat products are:
- protein - at least 80 percent of the value indicated in the product labeling;
- fat, carbohydrates, energy value (calorie content) - no more than 120 percent of the value indicated in the product labeling.
- As part of the labeling of poultry meat products, the use of the words "produced from chilled raw materials" or words similar in meaning is not allowed if, during the production of products, a thermal state of raw materials other than chilled was used.
- If mechanically separated poultry meat is used in the manufacture of poultry meat products, information about this shall be indicated in the composition of such products (e.g. "Mechanically separated chicken meat").
- Water must be indicated in the composition of such products regardless of the way it’s been added (in the form of ice, brine, solution, etc.).
- In the labeling of the composition of the products of processing of slaughter of poultry, marinades and brines are indicated with the designation of their constituent components.
- If starter cultures of microorganisms were used in the production of sausages and poultry meat products, their presence is indicated in the labeling.
- If poultry slaughter products and poultry meat products are treated with enzyme preparations, their labeling (composition) shall contain information on the use of such enzyme preparations if their activity, including residual activity, is retained in the finished product.
- The labeling of poultry meat products packed under vacuum or modified atmosphere conditions should contain appropriate information (e.g. “Packed under Vacuum" or "Packed in Modified Atmosphere").
- If the manufacturer of poultry meat products packed during the manufacturing process and sent for sale to retail and wholesale enterprises, assumes their further packaging in consumer packaging with a change in the amount of poultry meat products and (or) the type of their packaging, then the labeling of such products must contain information on the expiration dates before opening and after opening the package (violation of the packaging integrity), but within the overall durability period, subject to storage conditions.
- In the absence of such information on the label, a change in the quantity of poultry slaughter products and poultry meat products and (or) the type of their packaging intended for sale at retail and wholesale trade enterprises is not allowed.
- Labeling of poultry meat products packed in the process of sale with a change in the quantity and (or) type of packaging must additionally contain information about the legal entity or individual registered as an individual entrepreneur engaged in packaging, the date of their packaging, the period suitability and storage conditions (except for cases when poultry slaughter products and poultry meat products are packed in the presence of the consumer at retail and wholesale trade enterprises).
