This section provides an overview of the Authorities involved in setting regulations and in managing compliance with the animal feed product in scope.

Directorate of Livestock of Ministry of Agriculture

• Suggesting and developing technical rules for animal production products and inputs in cooperation with the relevant authorities.
• Preparing and developing standard specifications for animal products in cooperation with relevant authorities.
• Preparing and developing instructions and special technical conditions that regulate the establishment of farms for breeding and possession of livestock, poultry farms and their hatcheries, and fish farms, including the conditions and procedures for licensing them, and the health and technical conditions that must be met.
• Preparing and developing instructions that specify the conditions for licensing livestock and poultry slaughterhouses, places for manufacturing and processing carcass waste, and the conditions for slaughtering and skinning livestock and poultry.
• Issuing and preparing reports on livestock activities and coordinating with the relevant authorities.
• Participate in technical committees related to the work of the Directorate.
• Coordinating plans for animal production services for the governorates and coming up with a plan for the animal production sector at the level of the Kingdom.
• Preparing the annual plan for the implementation of the work entrusted to the Directorate and following up on its implementation.
