    This section provides an overview of the Authorities involved in setting regulations and managing compliance with the product in scope.

    1.1 Authorities

    Pharmaceutical products are regulated in Vietnam by the Drug Administration of Vietnam (DAV). Health supplements are considered food and as such are regulated by the Vietnam Food Administration (VFA) of the Ministry of Health. 

    Veterinary products are controlled by the Department of Animal Health affiliated with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
