Food and Drug Administration [1] 

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is the primary authority for the safety of the food supply in the USA. The relationship with the Tax and Trade Bureau is explained in a memorandum of understanding from 1974 [4].

Tax and Trade Bureau [2]

A division of the Internal Revenue Service with oversight of the marketing of alcoholic beverages and collection of taxes on alcoholic beverages. The organization was once known as the Bureau for Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (BATF) and older documents will carry that name.

Customs and Border Protection [3]

A division of the Department of Homeland Security that assists the Tax and Trade Bureau with oversight of imported alcoholic beverages and tax collection.
