Canadian Food Inspection Agency
A mandate of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is to safeguard health and well-being by mitigating risks to food safety [2]. The CFIA has authority to enforce provisions of Canada’s Food and Drugs Act, Food and Drugs Regulations, Safe Food for Canadians Act, and Safe Food for Canadians Regulations to ensure safety and nutritional quality of the food supply and compliance with food labeling requirements.
