This section provides an overview of the Authorities involved in setting regulations and in managing compliance with the animal feed product in scope.

Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA)
The registration of animal feed, additives, and ingredients for animal feeding purposes is handled by the Department for Livestock Inputs Inspection (DFIP) from the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA). The registration of products and establishments is carried out in accordance with the rules set out in Decree N° 6.296/07 [1], which regulates Law N° 6.198/74.
